?♀️?♂️Post for sports enthusiasts, especially runners. Today, a half marathon took place in Santa Pola.
?♀️?♂️Excellent route (definitely a chance for a personal best!). Below are some details about the race, which I highly recommend for both advanced and novice long-distance runners!
?♀️?♂️The course is flat and mostly runs along the waterfront. Weather conditions were very good. No wind. 10 degrees Celsius. Sunny.
?♀️?♂️Number of participants: about 5000 people. Were there any Poles on the track? Of course! Poles run on every continent. Always smiling. As if not from this planet.
?♀️?♂️Spectators are practically standing along the entire route. Their cheering matches the atmosphere of the biggest world-class marathons, such as Berlin or New York.
?♀️?♂️Live music is played every 1.5 km. There are drums, rock vibes, brass bands, and cheerleaders’ performances. Many supporters act as DJs, bringing their own portable speakers to the track.
?♂️Starting packs included a T-shirt, 1 kg of salt (from Santa Pola, of course), energy gels, and after the race, a towel with the logo, Cola, fruits, rolls, and a energy bar. Considering the price, around 30 euros (just before the half marathon), it’s quite impressive.
